So when Buro Happold asked us to create a recruitment campaign that would attract the brightest and most talented civil engineers, architects and designers that had same values, we created ‘the power of yes’ campaign to reflect an ethos that does not recognise the word ‘impossible’. This included posters, brochure, an exhibition stand and a graduate recruitment website to show Buro Happold’s solutions to impossible briefs to set a benchmark to follow and inspire graduates to rise to the challenge that in order to be the best they needed to work with a company that can offer the best opportunities and isn’t held back by preconceptions of what is believed to be possible.

We created this innovative one-off direct mail idea using a hand-spun record player with summer hit tracks aimed at businesses to promote the idea of a new commercial office space development concept with a mixture of leisure, fitness and entertainment on-site, to create a better and more holistic work environment that people want to be part of.

Volvo S40

Press Advertising | Direct Marketing

A self-assured and confident press launch advertisement designed to change perceptions about Volvo being a boring car brand that your 40-something dad might buy, while still reminding the target 30+ younger family professionals of the enviable, innovative safety record that have been synonymous with the Volvo brand for the preceding 52 years which has now gone into the revolutionary exciting ‘new look’ Volvo S40.

So we applied the strategy that while other manufacturers had switched to and were still playing catch-up with customer car safety, …and only now driven by new EU safety Laws, we flipped it for Volvo and used this and the new car design to change perceptions about Volvo, as an alternative option for this group to reconsider, with all the same great brand values but now with a great look too.

As Marty Neumeier (the father of Brand Strategy) says, “when everybody zigs, zag” to create your point of difference.
